The property is modern, spacious and well-equipped .Our bedroom was fine with a lovely view over Hokitika onto the Tasman Sea. Even better was the hospitality offered by Chris and Dianne including tea/cakes on arrival, cricket watching on Sky, pre- dinner wine and a wonderful breakfast. Chris even made phone calls on our behalf to try to locate a hat left somewhere earlier on the trip. We were made to feel 'at home' and it was great to have more contact with typically friendly/helpful Kiwis.

New spacious house, quiet location, overlooking the town and the ocean, on clear days mountains can be seen in the distance; rooms very tastefully decorated, each in different style and color, high value-to-cost ratio; hosts are fine people, extremely kind and helpful; breakfast first class. Safe parking on property. Best B&B place out of 9 we stayed at on our trip.

Hokitika Heritage Lodge is advantageously situated as it is close to airport and on a small hill overlooking the sea, sunset and town centre. Neat and tidy rooms with classy furnishings are extremely comfortable and enlightening. Hosts are very informative and attentive to guests’ needs, with helpful and timely advice offered. The 4-course dinner combines good taste and art, which is a must-try for guests.

The standard of this accommodation is fantastic. We got a great welcome, the rooms are superb and the views are second to none.

We really enjoyed our stay in your home in Hokitika. It was very comfortable and both of you made us very welcome. We really appreciated all the advice you gave us re sight seeing. Dianne's home baking was delicious. We enjoyed all the places we stayed but the atmosphere in your house was the most relaxed and welcoming. Thank you.

A real find! One of the highlights of our trip, and we would definitely recommend a stopover in Hokitika for some of Chris and Dianne's hospitality!

This is not only an excellent B&B with delightful accommodation but Dianne and Chris Ward's home and they are the most convivial of hosts. They do all that they possibly can to ensure a comfortable and happy stay.

A stay at this B&B is greatly enhanced by the hospitality of Chris and Dianne. Nothing is too much trouble to ensure your stay is memorable. Excellent facilities and great view over Hokitika towards the sea.

Dianne & Chris are exceptional hosts, welcoming you as a friend as well as guest. The house is beautifully comfortable, with a stunning view over the town out to sea and lovely local art inside. Food is delicious, and the glowworm outing after supper is not to be missed! Nothing is too much trouble for these two, and their enjoyment shines through.

Our experience with you was the best B&B experience ever. You could not have been more hospitable and your property is lovely. We look forward to the next time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were well looked after with a delicious dinner and excellent breakfast. The bedroom was spotless and had everything we required. Dianne & Chris were very friendly and their welcome warm and genuine.

Chris and Diane were extremely welcoming and thoughtful. They are only too happy to recommend restaurants and things to do in the area. They even, personally, took us late at night to their local glow worm dell which was fantastic. The bedrooms are all exquisitely decorated and comfortable. The welcome snacks and breakfasts were also brilliant. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful B&B.

My husband and I loved staying in your lovely home. The welcome and hospitality were brilliant, and the help on our onward trip was very helpful indeed - great to know we were planning to go to a restaurant that wasn't there!

The friendliness of our hosts was only matched by the comfort of the accommodation. And who can forget the glowworms!

It is always a little worrying when an important part of ones holiday is booked on-line - sight unseen. On this occasion we hit gold !. On arrival, after a long drive, Chris met us at the car door, and, after showing us the essentials, promptly made us a very welcome cup of tea. We immediately felt 'part of the family' and could relax in their beautiful home. Not to be Missed.

We are now safely back in the UK after a 5,500 km tour of N.Z. Firstly with only one exception all the BNBNZ we used were exactly as described and each one had it\'s own distinctive character! Thank you for making us most welcome at 'Heritage Lodge' - I know how much Mike enjoyed the Rotary visit with Chris - we both found your accommodation excellent together with the \'tea and cakes\' . Trust your plans with the additional accommodation are as successful as the existing arrangements but do keep that personal touch - all the very best for the future and many thanks once again.
